Kathy has a long history in the insurance industry working at Columbia National Insurance and Midland Mutual Insurance in Columbus, Ohio and CNA Insurance in Nashville, Tennessee. At the Midland, she was promoted to assistant vice-president, only the second female vice-president in the 100-year history of the company. She also achieved the designation of fellow in the Life Office Management Association. Kathy later became an assistant vice-president and general manager of the Term Insurance Business Unit. At CNA, she was a senior vice-president in charge of all technology and related projects for the Life Company and initiated a business unit to outsource home office processing.
She began her career at Cooper, Adel and Associates in Trust and Estate Administration. During the 10 years she worked in the law firm, Kathy became interested in helping our clients protect their hard-earned assets from a long term healthcare crisis and making sure that they get the benefits to which they are entitled. She recognized the important role that insurance products and strategies can bring to this effort. She has been with Cooper & Adel Financial ever since.
Kathy is married to Thom Cooper, founder of Cooper, Adel & Associates Law Firm. Thom and Kathy have two daughters, four grandchildren and four cats.
